Rebinding "Free the cursor" now fully replaces Alt. If you moved it to Caps Lock, Mouse 4 or any other key, tapping Alt no longer kicks you out of mouse-look. The same goes for clearing the binding.
Alt no longer drops the camera lock at all. Tapping Alt on its own used to wake the browser's menu, which pulled focus from the game and released your mouse, whatever Alt was bound to. The game now keeps that tap to itself, in the action camera and the classic camera alike (Alt+F4 still closes the window).
The mouse-look toggle follows Keybinds. Clear it or move it off the backtick (`) key and backtick does nothing.
One place for the free-cursor key. Settings > Controls shows your current key and a button to change it in Settings > Keybinds. Only the Keybinds page changes what the key does.
If the browser still drops mouse-look (for example when you switch windows), the game does not count it as freeing the cursor. Your next key press or click brings mouse-look back.
