Patch

Wooden arrows and a Feedback button

Added

  • Wooden arrows. Whittle a log into 10 wooden arrows with a knife, anywhere. No bench, feathers or heads needed. They are weaker than metal arrows but never run out on you.
  • Basic fletching by hand. With a knife you can now saw planks, carve arrow shafts, pitch torches and carve unstrung bows away from a bench. Stringing bows and metal arrows still need the fletching bench. Early Fletching pays noticeably more XP.
  • Feedback button. A speech-bubble button at the top right (and Send Feedback in the Esc menu) lets you tell us about bugs, quests, dungeons or ideas, with an optional screenshot. We read every one.
  • Graphics tips. If your browser is drawing the game without your graphics card (hardware acceleration off, Edge efficiency mode, or the wrong GPU picked), the game now tells you how to fix it. Firefox players get a tip to switch to Chrome or Edge.

Changed

  • Archers start with far more arrows: 1000 instead of 100.
  • Learn to make arrows early. Hallie gives you a knife when you take her quest and shows you how to whittle wooden arrows.
  • The Lamp-stone lesson explains travel better: what it costs, that you can travel from anywhere (cheaper beside a stone), and that stones you haven't touched stay dark.
  • Your horse comes sooner. Ansel's letter now starts Hoofbeats right away, so the pony quest is on your path from the start.
  • Bowstrings stack.

Fixed

  • A bow or crossbow with no arrows or bolts no longer looks like it shoots. You just get the "no arrows" warning.
