Patch

Richer Ground

Gathering got a pass so every skill keeps pace as you climb, not just the ones with a tree on every corner. The best materials now live out in the wild, too.

Where things grow

  • Coal and the higher-tier rocks, trees, herbs and fishing spots no longer sit near a bank. The better the material, the farther out it grows, up to 600 m from the nearest bank for the very best, so a wagon and a few friends earn their keep.
  • Many of the named dig sites have moved farther out to match, and a few now sit beside a different camp. Their names follow them.
  • Town woods and harbours keep their trees and fish, just the everyday kinds. The yews, maples and deep-sea spots right by the banks have moved down a tier.

Foraging

  • Herb and forage patches now give about three picks before they go bare, so you spend your time picking instead of waiting.
  • Moon-webs now hang all through the rocky middle lands, from the Thornwood to Ironcrest and the Sunscar, instead of in one spider cave. Moonsilk for tailoring no longer has to come from skeleton mages.
  • Starbloom now grows across the high north, and Barrow Herbs spread past Hollow Barrow into the far north.

Mining

  • Mythril, adamant, dhurrite and aether rocks come back much faster, and coal a little faster.
  • Adamant and dhurrite give more experience, so each new ore is worth moving up to. Coal is no longer the best training rock from 20 to 99.
  • More moonstone, jade, tidestone, skystone and starstone rocks to find.

Fishing

  • Sharks give more experience, so the deep sea beats swordfish once you can fish it.
