Patch

Shopkeepers craft to order

Added

  • Shop services. Smiths, miners, cooks, fishmongers, apothecaries, fletchers, tailors, the woodsman and the market halls' pack-stitchers will now make things for you. Open their shop and pick the new Services tab, bring the materials, pay a fee and get the item at once. You earn no experience and it does not count as crafting for quests, but you need no skill level or tool, and nothing ever burns.
  • Fees grow with tier. At starter tier the fee is a few coins. From iron up it climbs steeply, so a player crafter is usually the cheaper choice for better gear.
  • The Lampwarden kit can be made. Smiths can trim steel plate, a steel shield or a steel mace with copper and lamp oil into the matching Lampwarden piece, and jewellers can assemble the Lampwarden Lantern. The Quiet Lamp quartermasters at the Hollow Barrow camp and in Lampwatch do the refit as a service. The Lampwarden mantle is back on their shelves.

Changed

  • Shops show the real sell price. The Sell tab now shows exactly what the shopkeeper pays, including a shop's better rate for the goods it wants, and marks what it will not buy as "Not interested".
  • Remote shops pay more for what they need. Frontier and specialist shops pay a premium for some goods (Dhurrun's Cut for ore and bars, the Lampwatch Quartermaster for arms, armour and potions, and more). The shop window's footer lists each premium.
  • Regional capes are back in their shops, at a premium price.
  • Lampwarden gear is worth less to shops, now that it can be made.
