Shadows now fall away from the sun you see. The sun rises in the east, arcs across the southern sky and sets in the west, and shadows swing round with it through the day: long at dawn and dusk, short at noon. By night the moon casts soft, dim shadows from the opposite side of the sky.
Shadows are clearly visible. They are darker and slightly cool, with crisp but soft edges, and no longer flicker or crawl when you move or turn the camera. Feet stay attached to their shadows.
Shadows fade out gently at dawn and dusk and at the edge of the shadowed area, instead of popping or ending on a hard line.
Changed
Graphics: Low now draws soft contact shadows under characters and creatures instead of full shadows, which runs faster. Medium and High use sharper shadows that cover the area ahead of you, where you are looking.
