No more free kills by backpedalling. A melee creature you hit from range now rushes you, faster than you can run, and its pack comes with it. It closes the gap with a pounce (a circle where you are heading) or a long lunge (a line). Read the telegraph and step or roll aside and it misses; stop shooting and it calms down. Ranged still wins, it just costs you something now.
Guard trains only from blocking and Guard abilities. Damage your raised guard stops (parries most of all), damage stopped by Guard stances like Bulwark, taunts and Guard abilities used in a real fight all train it. Taking hits, armour, dealing damage and kills no longer do.
Exploring no longer gives Agility XP. Discoveries still chart your map and count toward explorer titles.
Sprinting and dodge rolls give much less Agility XP (a fifth of before). Agility courses and jump puzzles are coming to be the real way to train it.
Fast travel is a luxury now. Lamp-stones need 3 minutes to settle after a jump (it survives logging out), Lodge Recall rests for 15 minutes, and fares are about 2.4x higher. The Lamp-stone window and map show the countdown, and fares you can't afford show in red.
Locked satchel slots can't be listed on the market. They're greyed out with a padlock in the Sell picker.
The market tells you it's cross-world (it always was), and now you get a toast wherever you are when an offer fills or expires, plus a reminder on login if something is waiting in your collection box.
Character select no longer shows your last world, and the world list pre-selects a recommended world (online, not full, best connection) instead.
Added
Hover any map marker to see what it is: quests (available, in progress, ready to hand in), shops, banks, resources with their level, creatures, Lamp-stones with their fare, objectives, players and more, on both the minimap and the world map. The minimap has a new ? legend.
Fill empty vials with water for free at any well, town fountain, river or lake: right-click the vial and choose Fill. 13 towns gained a new stone fountain. (Sea water is too salty.)
Fixed
Seated NPCs sit on their benches instead of inside them, and Sir Cecil no longer spins round through the backrest to greet you.
Eyes no longer go "all white". The coloured part of the eye now rolls around the eyeball instead of sliding through it.
Capes look right with a shield or two-hander on your back. The gear is strapped over the cape, which lies flat beneath it and flows out below.
