Patch

Pack upgrades

Changed

  • Packs are now an upgrade ladder. Every Tailoring pack after the Rucksack is sewn from the pack before it: Rucksack (+8 slots, Tailoring 5) -> Courier's Satchel (+10, 18) -> Wayfarer's Pack (+12, 33) -> Mariner's Haversack (+15, 52) -> Ironcrest Hauler (+18, 68) -> Wyrmhide Pack (+21, 82) -> Aether Haversack (+24, 92). Each upgrade also needs that tier's leather and cloth, metal bars for the frame and buckles, and from the Mariner's Haversack on a trophy from the wilds: Drowned Pearls, a Golem Core, Yeti Fur, a Flawed Aether Crystal.
  • Upgrade the pack on your back. Stand at a sewing table wearing the previous pack and choose "Upgrade to ...": the worn pack is reworked in place and the new one goes straight on, even when your satchel is completely full. If you carry a spare copy, that one is used instead.
  • Pack tooltips now say "+N inventory slots" with the satchel size you get, what the pack is upgraded from and what it upgrades into. The crafting window counts the pack you are wearing and tells you how much bigger your satchel will be.
  • Packs you already own keep their slots; shops still sell the early tiers.

Fixed

  • Loading a character whose satchel no longer fits (for example after a pack change) can never lose items: overflow joins its bank stack or a free bank slot, and in the impossible case of a full bank the satchel keeps the extra slots until they empty.
