Belt Lanterns and Pitch Torches. Nights are less dark: general stores sell lanterns (they burn Flasks of Lamp Oil, about 30 minutes per flask) and torches. Press N to light or put out your light. Neither takes a hand, and other players can see it. You can also bind three torches from one log and one flax at a fletching bench.
A hand-drawn cursor. When you free the cursor (Alt or any window) it appears right on your reticle and changes with what it points at: talk, loot, attack, use, drag or type. If your browser drops the mouse lock, the normal cursor takes over and your next click brings the drawn one back. Turn it off or change its speed in Settings > Gameplay.
Choose your mount. Open Gear & Stats and press "Set active" next to a mount to pick which one answers your mount key.
Dungeon discovery. Dungeon entrances now appear on the world map once you have found them by walking near the gate.
Quest compass markers. Each tracked quest gets its own numbered, colour-coded marker on the compass. Hover one to see its quest, and markers that line up merge with a +n badge.
Crafting progress. The crafting window shows your skill level progress and how much XP is left to the next level.
Chat filter. Swear words in chat are hidden with asterisks. It is on by default; switch it off in Settings > Interface. Character names with profanity or slurs are no longer allowed.
Changed
Mounts are remodelled. They have real horse shapes, a saddle, a bridle and reins, flowing manes and tails, and a different look for each mount. Horses walk, trot, canter and gallop with their hooves planted, lean into turns and stay alive while standing still. Riders move with the saddle.
Softer lamplight. Lamp orbs are much softer and no longer flicker. Their light spreads far across ground, roads and grass and fades in smoothly as you walk through town.
Dungeon elites stand out. Elites show an Elite tag, and their level colour reflects how dangerous they really are.
Boss tooltips, notes and Chronicle pages no longer spell out the counters. You work them out in the fight.
Dungeon map tooltips show just the name, level range and what the entrance is near.
Toasts now sit just under the zone name banner while it is showing.
Fixed
The mouse cursor no longer disappears over the game world while a window (bank, shop, dungeon entrance) is open.
Dungeon entrance cards, ready checks and completion banners now free the mouse so you can click them.
Your character no longer runs off on its own after you die and respawn.
