Wickhaven has turned green. The village slopes, the Lamp Road north and the coast road east to the Silverrun bridge are now grassy fields with copses, hedgerows, berry bushes and wildflowers. The harbour front keeps its sandy strand.
Hob Furrow's farm sits beside the Lamp Road just above the village, with hens, cows, haystacks and a scarecrow.
New Wickhaven locals: Hob the farmer, Wenna the net-mender on the beach, Pip on the square and Tam Rook, a peddler on the coast road. Stop for a chat.
Gentle wildlife on the roads out of town: hens, hares, cows and the odd giant rat, so your first steps out of Wickhaven have something to swing at.
New characters now arrive empty-handed. There is no starting sword, armour or tool bag any more. Hallie Brand lends you a hatchet, pickaxe and hammer, teaches you to forge your first dagger, and talks you through the other ways to make your own gear. Nell gives you a net when she teaches you to fish.
Crabs on the Strand now opens after Tools of the Trade, so you face the crabs with the dagger you forged yourself.
